Blue Dunes Pure Cotton Voile Stoles

₹5,479.00Price

Welcome to colorful Rajasthan. Stunning prints in vivid colors, made by artisans settled in remote hamlets of this scorching desert. Traditional designs that date back 100's of years are being turned out by hand by these small communities, just to sustain themselves and their families. All in pure cotton voiles with minimalistic usage of any source of energy, they uphold the need of eco friendly and carbon neutral products. Unknowingly. Grace yourself with any of these stoles; you would contribute to humanity, in many a way.

Tie and dye, a technique of dying fabrics finds its roots in various parts of south east Asia and can go back over a 1000 years. Typically called Leheriya, Bandhani or Bandhej in Rajasthan, it really means waves. The multi hued colorful strips of design are created by first rolling damp fabric diagonally from end to end, like a tightened rope, and then tying and dying the fabric in parts, with different shades of colors. The color shades used could vary from 2 to 9. All hand dyed and hand stitched to create this magical palette of stunning color.
